FCFI 2020 Vision
Equipped – Empowered – Engaged
At 11:00pm August 16, 2019, the President of FCFI, Pastor Ken Harbaum officially resigned his position after serving us for the past three years. Pastor Ken did an excellent job of taking the Fellowship to new levels of strength and growth. It was an honor for me to have served along with him during this time and to see firsthand his integrity and the passion that he possessed for this work. Thank you, Pastor Ken, for a job well done!
I am honored and humbled to be set in this position as the new President of FCFI. This is a growing and dynamic company of leaders that are doing great things for the Kingdom of God. Along with the capable Board of Directors (Dale Scholten, V.P.; Raymond Rothwell, Sec/Treas; Paul Whitley, Missions Dir.; Sue Robinson, Member; and our Bishop Tim Cummings.) I believe that the seeds that FCFI have sown over the past 30 years for the Lord are ready to produce a greater harvest than ever.
The theme the Lord laid on my heart for this next year, 2020, is Equipped, Empowered, Engaged. Those are words of both confession and challenge. The year 2020 has to be seen as a season of vision. We are chosen by God and equipped in Him to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. We are continually being equipped by the Word for His purposes.
With equipping comes empowerment. For those who know the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the power (dunamis) that comes with this grace of God, we must stir up this resource and not get bogged down in the religious spirit of our time. Christianity without the power is a misnomer. The power of Christ working in us is what makes us participate and enjoy the abundant life of service for Him.
It would never make sense to get equipped and empowered and not become engaged in action. Our faith without works is dried up and dead. We show our faith and manifest our equipping and empowerment by becoming engaged (activated) in the good works of the Kingdom. Engagement allows the signs and wonders to follow. I can see clearly that 2020 is a dynamic, victorious time for those who are Equipped, Empowered and Engaged!
