These are thoughts and words that I received from the Lord that I feel led to share with you.
The urgency for the PROPHETIC
God still speaks through His Prophets.
I believe we need to release the PROPHETIC voice or we run the risk of living out our works rather than our mission.
It’s a season to evaluate whether I’m a Martha or a Mary.
There is a world hungry for the PROPHETIC word, not a do-good word.
The church is called to train and equip believers to do the work of the ministry… but what is this work?
Peter said we would dream, see visions, and prophesy. Philip proclaimed and did signs and wonders.
We dare not substitute good works for the power of God or else we will settle into competition to see who can do the most.
Our assignment is to be like Jesus… not to be like what the world thinks we ought to be.
To do the works of Jesus is different than doing good works.
The difference is seen in results more than actions.
What is following you… signs and wonders?
The works of Jesus led to healing, deliverance and new life.
Our preaching needs to be more PROPHETIC and less prose.
It should be full of power, not just full of words.
It should be made for God’s people more than made for TV.
People are hungry for real meat, not more pablum. We too often treat them like babies and have not offered them a better diet. We try to stop their crying but we’ve stopped helping them to grow. We’ve let them live in diapers because it’s too hard to potty train. But God is saying, NO MORE! Challenge My people, encourage My people, throw them out of the nest and teach them how to soar with the eagles! If you always treat them like babies they will always be babies. The infantile and childish ways must be replaced with Kingdom maturity and authority. Love them, but don’t coddle. Teach them to walk and even run in the life of My Spirit. You have grown weary in well-doing, but I tell you there is a power in you, not to program, but to proclaim. Expect great things of Me! Expect great things of others! Expect great things of even yourself! PROPHESY, PROPHESY, PROPHESY and see if the Word in your mouth will not come to pass! The day is well spent but now comes the harvest! As I have released My anointing on you so must you release that same anointing on others. A double-portion awaits them! HALLELUJAH!
We had a great time of fellowship and the Word at our Florida conference. All of the speakers brought words that both encouraged and empowered us to move forward in our callings.
I am looking forward to seeing you all at our Michigan Regional gathering. It’s not too late to make plans to be there. The schedule and meeting information is on the back of this newsletter.
